Getting Involved
Anyone can be Trail Advocate.
ANONYMOUS ACTIVITIES
Anyone can contribute to trail care by thowing off limbs, rocks, lopping off brush, flagging obscure sections, generating accurate GPS info, and reporting conditions to the Forest Service at Estacada.
VOLUNTEER WITH USFS
For more elaborate activities such as adopting a trail in need of more serious work it is best to sign up with the Forest Service as an official volunteer. This will gain you support of many kinds. This could include training in saw use (REQUIRED for chain saw operation), insurance, and a free Trail Pass for a minimum of 16 hours worked.
Come join us. We could use your help. Most of the regular maintenance is done by volunteers. It is lots of fun, great exercise, and very rewarding.
Contact the Recreation Department at the District office in Estacada for more information. 503-630-6861.
