  • Grouse Pt. Trail--4611 to Roaring River

Did a hike down this trail yesterday. Trail is clear. Moved a few small branches out of the way but no logs to go over or around.

No snow on the road and it's in about the same lousy shape as last year.

  • I'll betcha that road has been horrible since 1940....and before that it was a railroad.

Did you run into any snow at all up on 4610?  Wonder where it starts up on La Dee....

Hey how well has that stretch of trail I dug out holding up?  About 1/2 way down.

Spent the weekend on the White River near Wamic, glorious!  Looking forward to the Clacky snow melting so I can get the heck out there.

Must have been some crazy boating with the flows being so high.  You guys are nuts.

    • Was down the trail again today. Not sure which section you are talking about but most of the tread is in pretty good shape. Couple side hills towards the bottom are a bit slippery and could use some work and some brush is encroaching. Thanks for the flagging for the stream crossing. I never knew where the trail continued on the other side.

No sign of snow anywhere on 4611. Haven't tried 4610 but suspect things are melting fast out there.

      • It's the open relatively flat area after the initial drop down from the road.  It's cool that it's already blended into the exisiting vegetation after only a year, I had to build a new bench and tear out a lot of brush.

I'd like to get out to the end of 4610 but there is usually a big drift up before Squaw Lakes.  If anybody has been up there I'd love to hear about it.

It can all change by the end of the week though!  The sun is doing it's business finally.

I think it's going to be a few weeks before it melts up there though.

        Thank you for the update.
