Schreiner peak #555

I would like to try trail #555 but every reference has it as lost in the brush, has anyone found any trace yet?  Is the area thick woods with brush, it seems that at that elevation it would start to clear out.  I have a couple of old maps that show the trail on the south side of the ridge around Knob peak.
