Just headed down there yesterday with a baby on my back. Did a little more clearing and the trail is now in excellent condition down to the S. Fork. However, some careless campers again made a mess down below, so I hauled out their old stewcans and trash. There's still an abandoned tent down there that needs to be hauled out. Also, there are a couple pallets and pieces up at the parking lot on top that I didn't have room for. Please, if you do use these places, be sure to pack your trash out with you. Although, I suspect I'm preaching to the choir by posting this request here!
This is a very nice trail, and I feel underutilized. If you have the time, take an afternoon stroll down there this summer. The old growth forest at the canyon bottom can't be beat; this is a very wild and beautiful place.
