That's it! See, I don't stand a chance with you guys! 🙂

Okay, one more  in a different part of the district:

Tom

I would guess that it is on the Rho Rhidge Trail on the north end.

Nope, further south. But I do need to hike that trail -- I've never hiked the area around Mt. Lowe, but plan to this summer.

Tom, that looks vaguely familiar, but I can't place it.  Since no one has answered yet, can you give a hint?  I know it is south of Rho Ridge, but any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Well, this is probably too much of a hint, but the "trailheads" for this trail are the Canadian and Mexican borders...

I was suspecting PCT but fact is we rarely use it except to get between Red Lake Trail and Double Peaks and Top Lake, Horeshoe Saddle and Gibson Lake.

PCT maintenance is done by outsiders.

So I can't say where on the trail that is taken.

Good point -- that being the PCTA? This is the PCT just south of Breitenbush Lake, where Ruddy Hill first comes into view.

Don't really know for sure. I think they may be the ringleaders but horse and mule people do the work. Some others too.

I walked it once in 1975. I remember the re-route through the Reservation as tedious and have chosen to never go back. Besides, it has plenty of friends.

More interesting to me are the old Skyline routes.

Picture please!

Yes, the Mt Hood Chapter of PCTA coordinates maintenance from Park Ridge in Mt Jeff to south of Goat Rocks. South of Little Crater Lake, there are some horse groups that take charge of various sections for the PCTA.
