Hello,
on the 1938 map, #704 is shown going south of Mt. Mitchell and connecting with Cottonwood Meadows. Is this actually the "old 705" viewpoint trail which now ends at the viewpoint? Other maps show this section of Rimrock Trail going NORTH of Mt. Mitchell. I'm wondering if the 1938 map is in error.
I would like to get out there this fall and try to clarify the route thru the clearcut on #705. It's a tough one to follow and deserves a better fate.
Thank you. It does make it confusing because the trail numbers are so close to the old ones.
Did that viewpoint trail that now dead ends once continue down to Cottonwood Meadows?
