  • Baty Butte Trail 545 - Joyce Lake

    I'd like to explore the Baty Butte Trail using Joyce Lake as a base, camping at the lake. What is the best route to take from Portland to Joyce Lake? Is it road 7010 from the Bagby road? Or can the lake be reached from the West via Molalla? Also, is there a decent campsite at Joyce Lake? Is it just 1/10th mile from the end of road to the lake?

    Any additional info about this lake and the area would be greatly appreciated.

  • Both routes are long, Clackamas route more scenic.
    Nice camp site at Joyce Lake.  Well used.  Parking at the road on the right.  The trail is a little hidden but starts on the left right at the route into the lake.
