    We continue to need counts of trees down on the Bull of the Woods Wilderness trails. If visitors could let us know, that would be great. We have first three miles Dickey, Bull o Woods, Pansy Lake area, but need the rest. Don't need Bagby Trail. NWFC has taken on that huge project. Thanks.

    On the Elk Lake Creek trail from the Collawash trailhead to Battle Creek shelter (5 miles), I estimate that there are about 30 downed trees on the trail.  I hadn't really thought about taking an accurate count on my recent trips in there because the FS said on their website that they had awarded a contract for clearing the trails in the BOW.  I assumed that all of the details had already been squared away.
