Switch Creek Trail

I finished cutting out the brush on the spur road/trail up to the creek today. Still need to locate a route on both sides of the creek to line up the the trail segments. After brushing down lower  I went up the trail and cutout some smaller logs up to about 2500 feet where it was snowing and starting to stick.

NICE!!!  Then we just need to saw out that section on the other side of the creek that had all the blowdown....Too bad I can't do a chainsaw in the woods!

That is beyond my classification for the FS. Eric Poteet is the only one that is able to do 2 foot plus cutting in our district that works on trails.

Some more trees came down near the creek crossing. Here are some pictures I took near the same spot on the creek, one in Dec., the other one last Sunday.Switch Creek Dec 09

The good news is that the trees were just below where the trail crosses.
