In looking at the 36 pit fire map, the fire got mighty close to the old trail. 

If it matters, just to my left in the first photo is a substantial waterfall on a well known creek. 

You could access a lookout from this trail

Brian would that be the Memaloose Trail from the bottom between the old suspension bridge across the Clackamas and the 45 road?

Head across the Clackamas River.

Hint: There's a road named after the body of water with the waterfall I mentioned.

itd be really easy to Fall down into the Creek where i was....

Since no one else is trying, I'll make a wild guess, I think its a ways distant but I don't know of one closer.
