Thanks for posting the pics. Doesn't look too bad, and it obviously didn't get to Lake Lenore or up to the lookout. I'd love to get back up in that area again....Just curious, but what route/trails did you take?

Rob, the route was: Elk Lake Creek trail to Welcome Lakes trail to West Lake Way trail to Schreiner Peak trail. About 15 miles round-trip.F

Cool route.....The trails must be open again. I'd love to do it before the snow falls, but I doubt I'll make it.That detour to the northern Elk Creek trailhead is a killer, though!

Looks like you got an early start! I did take the detour early this year, when we went to see the "bridge to nowhere". It is very close to the Northern end of the Elk Creek Trail (a trail I've never hiked, but want to). I'm still trying to decide what hike I'm going to do this weekend, as it may well be the last one for a while. They are saying snow all the way down to 2500' tonight!F

Doug,I'd like, with your permission, to put that Lowe Creek(?) view towards SiSi, etc, on the homepage.

Donovan,
Yes, of course, you're welcome to use that photo, or any of mine, for that matter. Would you like me to email you the original full-size version?

600px by proportional height would be perfect. Thanks. This topic is locked and no longer accepts replies.
