I have been thinking about the coming summer season, still seems like an eternity away!  I would like hike to Pyramid lake, I am curious if anyone has ever been there before.  It looks like a long brush-whack to get there, as many of those lakes have no access trails.  According to the forest service, the lake is stocked.  I have been into many of the hidden lakes in that area, and have never been dissapointed, they are truly hidden gems.

Are there two Pyramid Lakes in the district?  If not, the one I know about has a pretty easy trail to get to it, and even campsites and an outhouse at the lake.  The road up to the trailhead isn't the greatest- A little brushed in and rough, but is passable.  Take a look at the trail sheet on the site:  Pyramid Lake Trail

Later:  I should have looked at the map closer.  I do see there are two Pyramid Lakes.  The one you are referring to (I think) is down near Olallie?  If so, I haven't been there...Sorry.
