Has anyone travelled the detour to get to Bull of the Woods?  It looks pretty crazy....just wondering the condition of the roads etc.

Also, can anyone recommend a location similar to Elk Lake Creek/Collowash, with running water and old trees and solitude?  Not sure if the detour will work out!  Hard travelling with a little one, she starts getting AGITATED.....

The route is damn long and steep, but the roads are in good condition.  Adds about an hour to the trip.  Goes up across Rho Ridge and back down.  On a positive note, the closure keeps all the people out, we only saw 1 car the entire time, including the drive.
