Bull of the Woods Wilderness

I hiked the Bull of the Woods trail, June 6, 2006, and heres my report. I was the first, if you believe the sign in sheet of the year to hike the trail. Lots of stuff on trail, kicked most of it off. There's a little snow at lower elevations on the north side but it hard as rock and no problem walking across.
There serveral bigger trees down across the trail, one needs a saw, I didn't have time to de-limb it, but all are do able.
This is a note for the caretakers of the trail, there's a widow maker, actually two, but only one dangerous to me. It's located between Terrace Spring and North Dickey Peak, at UTM corrdinates 10T 0570776 4972681. It needs to be taken care of and be careful if hiking under it in any wind at all.

On the 17th of June I took a little hike to Panky Lake, the trail is open and fun. You have to forge a stream or two but a nice hike for someone who isn't looking for a challenge.Originally posted by Donovan on 6/20/06; 5:42:22 PM
