I hiked this trail, from Highway 224 at Roaring River, up to a flat on top of a ridge with The Founder yesterday, 12/22/04.  It was a nice hike.  We carted out the only litter we saw - a pile of old Budweiser cans.  This is a nice hike on a pretty clear old trail that starts at the North side of the parking area and follows the powerline right of way before climbing out of the canyon.  A really nice day hike for Portlanders looking to hike below the winter snow.
