I saw the notice on the front page about road 45.  I was up there on Saturday, but it didn't appear as though anyone had gotten to Memaloose due to snow on the road.  Someone had gotten stuck in a snowdrift about a mile or two before Memaloose, and it didn't look like anyone had gone further than that (no tire tracks in the snow).

Anyway, I was planning on doing a backpack trip up Road 45 later this summer, and wondered about the comment about "Large timber is down across the 45 Road above Memaloose country."

Does anyone know if this large timber is planned on being removed?  I know there isn't a ton of traffic that far up on 45.

I drove up the 45 road yesterday. There were no trees on the road, but it is still blocked by snow before the top.

High Rock is also still inaccessible, but the 58 road is clear well past the Pyramid Lake turn-off. Maybe we'll be able to get to the high country before the corn is knee high.
