I would like to get some expert opinions on this one....After Paul posted his pictures from his trip to the UofO map library, I took a look at some of them.  Specifically, I wanted to see if the milepost 3 trail was on any of them.

If you take a look at this map piece here from the 1956 Fish Creek Mountain quad:

And take a look just north of the Oak Grove Ranger station.  It is what appears to me to be the milepost 3 trail, and it is labeled as the roaring river trail.  Are these the same?  Or is it a different trail?  Or am I reading the map wrong?

All the 1957 and 1956 quads are full of errors with respect to trails. I have thrown mine away.
MP3 was part of 702, Cache Meadow Trail. It never passed by Cripple Lake as the quad suggests. At one time, it did start from Oak Grove. No one has been able to find it from 4635 down to Oak Grove.
