The site should be more reliable and considerably snappier.

A slight update to the upgrade - today I put the site behind a security service - it should be invisible to most people.  What it should do is help minimize bots and hackers from hammering the site - attacks have been increasing recently.  This change is intended to help make sure they don't affect the availability of the site.
