What trail am I on? Spring 2013 edition
D
Rob got it.
I was hoping the photo while having a view wasn't clearly on top of anything.
But usually in our country I guess we have to be on top of something to see anything.

This looks kinda familiar.
Are you at about 4,600' here?
R
That would be a reasonable approximation.
D
Never been there, but, if that's SiSi, then I would think you are near Welcome Lakes?

B
Dickey Creek down a ways from the Bull Lookout. I have a very similar picture taken a little higher up.

K
Rob, as Donovan noted, that looks to be Sisi Butte in the distance there. Would you say your lens was pretty much pointed due east when you recorded these photons?

I stand corrected. R
No one wants to guess? You are SO close! Do I need to just let the cat out of the bag and disclose where this photo was taken?
K
Have faith, Rob.
Someone will get it eventually.
D
West Lake Way trail?
K
See Rob, what'd I tell you. You asked and you have received.
R
Doug Firman said West Lake Way trail? You are correct! If my memory serves (Kirk, feel free to correct me if I'm remembering wrong), this was taken roughly right above West Lake - there is an overlook in that vicinity. Kirk was with me on this hike. We did a big loop from Pansy Lake over to Welcome Lakes (through all the fire damage), up the West Lake Way trail, back to BOTW lookout, then back down the Dickey Lake trail to Pansy. It was a great day!

I have two suspicions.
I'll give the second one first:
White Iris Trail 502-A?
