IMG_2657.jpgWell, if nobody else want's to post a photo I will. This photo was taken from a current district trail:

Iz the east end of Rimrock?
B
So is that from Granite Peaks area?   Bryon
B
Or more closely Burnt Granite?    Bryon
D
Not Rimrock or Burnt Granite, a bit further to the south. What mountain is in the background? Don
R
Cripple Creek?  That sure looks like the Clackamas Valley by Ripplebrook.
D
It isn't the Cripple Creek Trail, Bob. That mountain in the background is Mt Jefferson. You will have to go FURTHER south to find this trail. Don
R
Boy that sure looks like Mt. Hood.  This Olympia is making me see double like those old stereoscopes. OK, what about Rho Ridge?
D
Bob, you are getting warmer. You might look in the nearby wilderness or change your brand of refreshment. Don
R
Is it one of the trails near Whetstone?  I know you guys were doing trail work around there a couple years ago.  Most of my time is spent outside of BOTW. I'll just keep guessing and moving south.  Soon we'll be near the equator.
D
You can quit going south now Bob and head East at least 5 miles. The picture was taken during a pleasure hike last summer. I actually go on a hike every once in awhile that doesn't entail working on a trail, but they are few in number. I went on one yesterday, not wanting to waste a perfectly good sunny warm day and hiked on a abandoned trail above the upper Clackamas. Don

I wonder if it is near where a pair of large cats convinced my wife to never ever set foot in the woods again.   D.

It looks like the view of Jefferson from the Mother Lode Trail not far from the junction with the Pansy Lake Trail, as you head up to Bull of the Woods.

Which trail are we talking about, the trail in question that I hiked last summer, or the one I hiked on yesterday? Neither one.   Don

The view is looking down Mother Lode Creek to the SE towards Mt Jefferson from the Mother Lode Trail #558. Your turn to post one. Don

Okay, since I got that one, here you go:
D
Matt, would this be up in the Olallie Lakes Scenic Area? Don

Yes. Yes it would. I'll be curious to see how long it takes for y'all to get this one. 😀

Is it Timber Lake?
M
No, not Timber Lake. I've never even been to Timber Lake.
