What trail am I on?
D
This one is going to be tough.
DR
Round Lake?
D
Huxley Lake?
Don
D
Wow. I guess it is really tough.
Hope you all are heading out this weekend to get us some fresh pictures.

Cottonwood Meadows trail?
R
I'm guessing Cottonwood too, which is pretty pointless really since Doug already said that. Pointless, my point today.
There are a ton of little lakes in the Clackamas.
R
There is the lake at Cache Meadow that looks something like that as well.
D
Doug wins!
Cottonwood Meadows/Lakes.
Doug's on the pitching mound.

I'm not sure why my photo doesn't show up like everyone else's, but I guess this will work if you just click on the attachment.
Another water body near a current district trail.

Doug:
What browser were you using? I know with this new version of the forum, they are busily fixing browser related issues. I'm wondering if this might have been one of them. I did a minor upgrade this morning that fixed a bunch of weird issues like that.
As far as the trail goes - that doesn't ring any bells for me. I'll probably need a clue or two (or three or four).
D
Is it the Clackamas from the Riverside Trail?
D.D
Donovan: No, it's not the Riverside trail.
Hint: It's in a wilderness area.
Rob: I'm using IE8. I was doing okay and had uploaded the photo but it was way too big. So I resized the photo and tried to edit my post by deleting the previous photo and adding the resized one. I don't know what happened after that, but it didn't seem to want to let me do what I was trying to do.
I've just now tried again to attach the photo to this post, but nothing happens after I hit "start upload." I wonder if upgrading my browser would make a difference.
D
OK then. My second idea is that it is the last meadow before the crest, very shallow crest, and dropping down into Cache Meadows on 702 Trail.
Rob,
Please let's not need to upset our browsers to play.
D.
D
It's not the 702 trail. You're very close, though.
B
517 Grouse Point Trail not real far from Cache Meadows
D
No, it's not the Grouse Point Trail. The pond in the photo is not in or adjacent to Cache Meadows. It's not awfully far away, though.
D
Well that leaves about one choice. But I leave it to someone else.
I take it this is from the top end of the particular water body?
D

Oh brother, this is really embarrassing. I just realized that I got my photos mixed up. The photo I posted is not the one I meant to post. I've been misleading you a bit, but not intentionally. Sorry about that.
The photo that I posted was in fact taken in the Cache Meadow area, but so far no one has guessed the trail that it's on. Or at least the trail that I followed to get to the point in the snow where I took the picture, which is only a very short distance to another trail which someone has already mentioned.
D
I feel like I killed the party here! No one seems to want to take a guess as to the trail that I was on. Here's a hint. After I took the photo of the pond, I continued walking just a few more yards and arrived at the site in the photo shown here. No prizes for guessing where it is, just for identifying the trail that I followed to get there. Any takers?R
OK, I'll just take a wild guess - Trail "X"? At Cache Meadow?
I never found it when I was there....But that was several years ago....
