Looks like the Rimrock Trail.

Is this trail an official trail or an abandoned trail?
K
Is it in the Roaring River Wilderness Area?
D
It's an official trail, well-used, but it's not in the Roaring River wilderness.
K
Is it in the Mt. Jefferson wilderness area?

Nope.
R
Is that the Screiner Peak trail?
K
Which would put it in the Bull of the Woods wilderness?

Yes, it's in the BOW, but it's not the Schreiner Peak trail.
K
It looks like it's up kind of high.  So I'll guess Bull of the Woods trail.

That's not it, but I think you can see the Bull of the Woods lookout tower from where this photo was taken.  Here's a hint: this trail is higher at either end than it is in the middle.  The photo was taken at the high point near one end of the trail.
R
Would that be the Dickey Creek trail, somewhere after the creek crossing?  Maybe somewhere at the foot of Big Slide Mtn?

No. This trail doesn't follow a creek.

How about 557, which passes thru the optimistically-named Mother Lode Basin?   Bryon

The Geronimo Trail?  No, that's high at one end and low at the other.  This trail is high at both ends and drops down to its namesakes in the middle.

Well, I was waiting for someone else to answer - your clue gave it away.  I'm sure this is the twin lakes trail. If I'm right, I don't really have a good photo to post, though.
D
Rob, you're right.  It's the Twin Lakes trail, about 2/3 mile from the junction with the Mother Lode trail.

It has been a while since I've been on that trail - it didn't look familiar to me. You want to post another photo?  You have some interesting photos!
