Since nobody posted a new trail, I thought that I would throw another one out there.

This is a current district trail, and is a destination or connector trail, depending on how you use it.

I was trying to come up with a good picture, but was having trouble.

Is this in a wilderness area?  If so, is it new or old wilderness?  I have an idea, but want to hear the answers first.

Some segments of this trail are in a new wilderness areas.

Donavon, I know that you know where this one is. Maybe others will be able to figure it out.

OK, I'm guessing the Whetstone Mtn trail?  If not, I'll need another hint.

Your in the south of the district, turn you eyes to the north.

OK, how about Grouse Point?

You're getting closer. I don't think you could see Grouse Point from this trail, but I think you could see Indian Ridge.

Do I see tee-pees?

Yeah, and from what I can tell they look a little upset about the name change.

OK,  I'm guessing that it is the Fanton Trail, and I'm guessing that picture was from Squaw/Tumalo Mountain?  I haven't hiked that trail for a while....
D
Is that Lt. Abbot waving from the top of _____ Mountain?

It is actually Old Baldy #502 trail looking toward Squaw /Tumalo Mtn. So I will give it to you.

And Donavon, I think if you look really close you can see Lt Abbot waving. Your hints are alot better than mine.

So Rob, post a picture and get the ball rolling again.

OK, lets try this one.  This is a current district trail.

I believe so.  I tried to look up the boundaries of the new wilderness areas, and I think this is included in it.  It is a pretty short trail.

D
Why that looks like Pyramid Lake!

How do you do that?!!!   You are correct......Your turn!

D

OK. So here is another one.

Do all lakes look the same?

This is fairly short trail which has no trailhead per se. No special zoning.

R
Based on the logs in the water, I'd say that is Skookum Lake.....And Skookum Lake doesn't really have a trailhead, you get to it from Thunder Mountain.
D
Rob, now you are the ace.
R

I'm no ace, but all the logs in the water was a dead giveaway for me....

OK, next one.  It is a current trail in the district.  I don't think it got included in any of the new wilderness areas.

Is it the Cripple Creek Trail #703?
