You know, I did not. I should have! Have you explored that "cave"?
And did you guys climb down to see if what seems like a cave is a cave?

K
Did i hear someone say "Cave" ? What kind of cave ? Horizontal, vertical...? I'm always looking for a new home for when the sh*t hits the fan.
D
I think staying home would be preferable to living in that 'cave' right now. Just turn off the fan is all.
That is a frequent rest stop when working the trails around there. So we eat and look and ... "hey, it that a cave?" Then they get excited and scramble down into that rock pile and come back reporting.
It's a want to be cave.
You're up Zack.
K
...we try turning off the fan every time we step into the voting booth...although it never even slows down...just gets cranked up even more.
Donovan, I remember stopping here with you and little Poteet for lunch years ago...good memories...
Z
Here's one… You can almost feel the heat on your back.

T
Looks like Lake Lenore from Big Slide Mountain (with Granite Peaks poking up in front of Hood..? That's cool!)

Zack, Tom? Anyone home? Been pretty quiet....I think Tom is correct, and if so, he needs to post another photo.
Z
The Splintercat is correct. He's up next.
T
Shoot! Wish I would have saved those Rho Ridge pics... well, this one might be too easy, but here goes:

R
Is that Memaloose creek approaching Memaloose lake on the Memaloose lake trail?
T
Nope - but here's a hint: this trail is generally open year-round.
Tom
D
Is it the stepping stones across Pup Creek on the Clackamas River Trail?
T
Close enough, Don - same trail, I believe this is the next creek to the west. You're it!
Tom
D
Here is a photo that will probably be too easy for you guys, but I can't find any other photos that I haven't already posted. It is in a wilderness area.

Z
Someone should write a song about the whetstone mtn. trail?
D
Zach
You are right, someone should write the song of the Whetstone Mtn Trail.
I have been there a few times, but haven't researched it's history otherthan
knowing it was an old lookout site. A great viewsite in the south of our district.
Seeing how it's your turn, you can write the lyrics.

I have never been much of a lyricist or poet, but I will have to jot down what comes to mind the next time I hike to the peak at the head of Whetstone Creek. With a view that ranges wide and far, wait a minute, I think I see my little car.
How about trying to identify a seldom visited lake in the district, no official trails to this one.
Not to single anyone out but, Attn Rob: I know you know this one.

R
Yes, I recognize that lake. When someone guesses it, I'll be interested to hear when/how you got there....It is a very interesting place.
Rob
D
That wouldn't be Williams Lake would it?
Z
No it's not Williams.
I can't think of any hints that wouldn't give it away.
