Cache Meadow? Don

The curse of winning! I'll get back to you tomorrow with a new photo. That 5 directions kind of gave the trail  away. Of course you would have to know about the 5th trail to be privy to that.

Here's a new photo. What trail am I on?    

Grouse Point trail?  Looks a lot like the view of the upper end of Cache Meadow from the campsite where the shelter used to be.

It's not Cache Meadow, that was the previous photo in question. You must go further south in the district.

Have there been any apes seen nearby?

If your thinking Tarzan Springs, your too far south. That was the only site that would seem to me to have apes around.

This reminds me of the Clackamas Lake area.

Way too far east, but about right on the north/south correlation or latitude. Happy Birthday Oregon!

I am thinking Cottonwood Meadows.   D 2

D 2 your in the ballpark, but it isn't the Cottonwood Meadows Trail. Hint: it is in the Roaring River Wilderness and is a current trail. Don

Is that the marshy area on Rimrock near the beginning of the trail?

Bingo! We have a winner. It was a peak through the trees prior to the crossing of the pond/lake on the west end of the Rimrock Trail. Your turn to post one Rob.   Don

Wow - that was too easy.  I thought about posting the old outhouse or campsite from there, but thought maybe the lake was a little less obvious. Your turn!  

It was the shallow puddle and the growed over rock field that gave it away.   By the way, there is some potential for an old trail to get from there up to the Frazier road. The top of it is easy to find (at the dogleg in the road) but I never followed it out very far but always thought it might be useful find and enjoy.   D 2
