What Trail am I On? - Winter 2015 Edition

It has been exceedingly quiet here as of late. I thought I'd resurrect the "what trail am I on" game to see if it spurs any activity. This might be really easy. This is technically an abandoned trail, however it connects to a current district trail. What trail am I on?

Can't fool you. Yes, this would have led into "town" at some point in the past. Now, it just leads into a clearcut.

This will probably give it away, but since there has been little activity..... This trail indirectly connects to the Bissell Trail.

We have a winner! This is the Fanton trail on the west end - across the road from the real trailhead. This trail went into the "town" (not sure if it was actually a town, but it did have a school and a FS guard station) of Fanton. Your turn to post a photo.

Here is a view from a abandoned trail in our district. Figure out what mountain is in the picture and you should be able to figure out what trail I am on. Don

No guesses! This trail is not in a wilderness area, the closes one being 6-7 miles away. This trail is near a major area where the FS has done road decommissioning, so if you look on our 'current' map from 2002 the general area looks like wilderness on the map anyway for the roads have been erased. Don

That sounds like the Fish Creek area. That looks like the first viewpoint on the way up the original Fish Creek Mountain trail.

Dylan, that is Fish Creek Mtn in the background, but this isn't on that trail.

Bingo! I was on the section of the East Mtn Trail that got taken over by an illegal ATV trail that cuts across the Fish Creek Divide in that area to the south of where the Cold Springs Trail comes up onto the ridge. Your turn to post one!

Wow, I've been back here several times on the iPhone and your reply never showed up! IOS has never totally agreed with TA, but there's nothing rob can do on his end. I will get a pic up tonight.
