I was up the Cripple Creek trail on Saturday - in the morning, there was 3-4" of snow on the road and 1 or 2" on the trail at the start. By early afternoon, the trail at the beginning was clear again and the road had 1-2" of snow on it. I got up to just before the last clearcut before the 4635 road, with the snow 6-8" deep in the trees and much deeper in the open areas. It was easy going without snowshoes however since the snow was REALLY fluffy. At the second crossing of the 130 spur, the snow was about 2 feet deep.
We are having a late winter - the melt out will be a little later than normal, I think due to all this late snow.
