Trail Conditions
It was a pretty cool and foggy day for the first of July. 42 degrees! The first mile and a half of the trail was in really good shape - very few logs down. About 2.5 miles in, the trail heads down to a green area and a rockslide which has always been a rough spot due to all the Thimbleberry. In the last winter storms a bunch of trees uprooted and came down on that descent. It is pretty rough to get thru there now. I ended up going around all of it straight uphill on the way back. I went to the powerline crossing and turned around as that is a very good day (a little over 8 miles).
