Trail Conditions

Hiked part of this trail today- 11/6/2024. I was curious what things looked like after the Sandstone fire work. The bad news is that there has been some significant damage to the trail from the fire work. There was a dozer line cut from the 7010-160 spur up and it crosses the trail twice. I think they might have fixed those two crossings (it was hard to tell with all the snow), but higher up the dozer line took out a portion of the trail along the bluff near the beginning. Where the dozer line ends there is a huge mess of downed logs, etc that obscures where the trail continues. Once past that area, the trail is pretty much as previously reported. Some downed logs and lots of brush in many places.
