4/24/2010 #517 west end – Cleared brush and 3 mid sized down trees.  Trail is clear and easy to follow to the bottom of the Roaring River canyon.  Last 1/8 mile needs minor tread work and more brushing out.   I also put up a metal T at the trailhead.  Spent a muddy weekend up there, didn't see anyone else.

FS4611 is getting pretty bad and needs some serious brushing out and some gravel in the worst potholes.  Trees are starting to encroach.  Still driveable with high clearance but just barely.  Not much garbage at the end of 4611, but the area really needs some help, mud pits and recovering clearcuts.  It looks like the new wilderness boundary straddles 4611, so it may be worthwhile to ensure it survives for adminstrative use alone, and for wilderness access to the Roaring River.

4610 is in pretty bad shape this year on LaDee, more potholes than I've ever seen up there.
